Cold and Frosty play days!

It's been a busy couple of weeks here at Amberley playgroup. The children have enjoyed exploring ice. This has encourage some great descriptive language and imaginative play. The children were making habitats for the penguins and polar bears. They also created some spiders web pictures inspired by seeing lots of frosty webs outside.

We have had a focus on 2d shapes. The preschool children collected sticks from the park and have been making them into shapes.

The children have also been working on developing their fine motor skills by pegging, snipping and using buttons to create pictures.

Next week the children will have a go at creating models with wood using their knowledge of shapes in construction!
