This week we have started talking about the signs of Spring and growth. The children sowed peas and planted some violas. We talked about the roots and what the plants needed to help them to grow.
The children have been working on following a pattern and a sequence using spring time pictures to encourage language and numeracy skills. The pre schoolers have been practising hearing and saying the initial sounds in some words. During our music time we have been practising Maypole dancing and singing a few spring themed action songs.
The children enjoyed racing around on the bikes and trikes. This encouraged lots of role play. We had a carpark attendant who was giving out tickets and numbered parking bays to park the cars in.
