This week we have been looking at the growth and life cycle of the plant. The children have each planted a sunflower seed. We talked about the parts of the plant and what the seed will need to grow. The children have also been carefully observing our caterpillars. They have monitored their growth and seen that the food has been nibbled. The children had a go at printing a symmetrical pattern.
They have also been using their imagination and developing their language by using the puppet theatre.
The children played musical instruments during our music session, learning to follow and hear a beat, They were playing loudly, softly, fast and slow. The children also listened to the story Gerald the Giraffe and were playing their instruments and dancing to the different sounds while acting out the story.
