June 1st - June 12th

The children have returned from half term refreshed and ready to go! For our pre-school children this will be their last term with us, which is always such a bittersweet time for us as staff. They are so ready for their next big adventure but we really do miss them!!

We had some VIP visitors to playgroup. One of our pre-school children is raising ducks with his family and they came in for a visit. The children absolutely loved their experience and learned so much about being gentle, and what it takes to care for animals.

The children have been really interested in pirates and seas over the last few weeks, and so we have encorporated this into our play! We've practiced our counting and numeral recognition, sailed the seven seas and dug for treasure on our pirate island!

Fingers crossed the sunny weather comes back, and we can get back to spending the long summer days in our garden! We hope to spend the summer making improvements to our outdoor space to give the children the best possible opportunities so be sure to check back for updates!
