Pudsey Bear and groovy moves!

The children and teachers came dressed up in their party dresses and superhero costumes to help raise money for Children in Need. They made Pudsey pictures, little homes for bears and danced at our very own disco with glow sticks and pom poms!

We have continued our shape awareness from last weeks rocket making to exploring colours and shapes using the light table.

We have been practising our counting skills through playing by counting dinosaurs and farm animals and then categorising them. The children have been using their imagination in the role play area. This week baby Jesus joined his mum at the salon while she worked!

To encourage language and extending vocabulary, at Amberley playgroup we have a treasure bag that goes home with the children for them to bring in a few of their treasures to show and talk about with the other children. It's exciting to see what the children have chosen. This week we've had some really big leaves, family photos, books, a hanging rainbow and a selection of toy horses.

We've made small and large scale models using Lego and mega blocks. The children have been improving their independence skills with dressing up and trying to do up their zips and put on gloves ready for going outside.

Friday we will talk about road safety and being seen in the dark all before the Christmas activities begin next week!
