We have come back from a weeks break and ready for another busy term. We begun our Spring topic this week by planting cress seeds. We talked about what seeds and plants need to grow and followed visual instructions on how to make crazy cress heads.
The children have started practising a few new songs and rhymes, 5 currant buns, 5 warm eggs and dancing round the may pole. For world book day they came came dressed up and shared their favourite books and stories with the rest of the children. We read The Paper Dolls story and then had a go at making our own paper dolls. The children drew their own dolls and attempted to cut around them. Some children named their dolls and took them on an adventure around the playgroup using their imagination.
The preschool children have been counting, subsitizing and practicing writing numbers, The children also really enjoyed large scale drawing and colouring, such a great way to get the children talking and using their imagination. See you next week for some more fun!
