Spring Time fun

The children have been having lots of fun since returning from half term. They have been practising their large motor and fine motor skills through using the climbing frame, riding bikes and trikes, playing football and building towers with the large foam bricks. The children have been developing their control and manipulation when putting on their shoes and coats and using scissors. Our Maths focus has been patterns and consolidating our 2D shape knowledge; we have been looking at different patterns and noticing them on our clothes and around the room. The children had a go at creating their own pattern using the coloured pegs.

We started to talk about the flowers we are beginning to see outside. The children are planting cress seeds and learning about what they will need to grow. The children have been practising a few new songs and learning about following a beat when playing with the musical instruments. We have introduced the Game 'Mr honey bear' to the children to encourage friendships, confidence and working together.
