Story Time

Wow what an amazing first few weeks it’s been! The children have all settled in fantastically well, some returning to us after the long summer break and some coming to a childcare setting for the very first time! We are all getting to know each other, and discovering all the fun things we offer at playgroup.

Our topic for the first few weeks of term is “all about me” and we have enjoyed getting to know all about our children, what makes them special and all their favourite things. Next week we will begin looking at our families and our homes

Some of our favourite activities this week have been painting, reading stories, playing families in the home corner, cars and lots of building (with everything from blocks and Lego to sand and mud!) The children have really enjoyed the outdoors even in the rain, and we had a special treat on Wednesday when a pair of Typhoon jets flew overhead and so we spent a lot of time exploring aeroplanes and flying things!
